Lose the weight yourthirties told you to accept.

Strength training and nutrition coaching for men who are starting from zero. “Results don't happen in one day but they start from day one.”

The part nobody says out loud

As men, we have that pride. We don't like to ask for help.

That's why some men are stuck in their thirties carrying the weight and accepting it as part of life. Not because they're lazy. Because asking felt worse than staying the same.

You've lost it before

And watched all of it come back, plus a little more, and decided that must just be how your body works.

The plan was unlivable

Chicken and rice five times a day for eleven days, then a birthday, then nothing. You called it willpower. It wasn't.

The doctor's visit landed

Blood pressure came up. Maybe some numbers you didn't like. It stopped being about looking better.

The gym is a foreign language

You don't know what to do in there, and you'd rather not be the guy asking somebody how a machine works.

There is no spare hour

Work, kids, the drive. Every program you've seen seems designed for someone with nothing else going on.

You quietly accepted it

At one point we see ourselves and we accept it. That's the one we're here to undo.

How I coach

Body recomposition.Strength for weight loss.

I understand how the body works and that we need to optimize it — it's not just working out hard. Here's what that means in practice.

The four things I actually do
  • Body recomposition, not just a smaller number

Strength training while the fat comes off, so you keep the muscle and the shape of your body actually changes. The scale is one of several things we watch, not the whole scoreboard.

  • Food you'd still eat on a Sunday

Same food, different versions. Barbecue, breakfast, the grill. Switching it up is what keeps you eating the plan in month four instead of quitting in week two.

  • Understanding what your body is doing

Metabolic issues like insulin resistance are real and common. I can't diagnose anything, but getting labs done is something I recommend, because knowing beats grinding blind.

  • Contraction over speed

It's not about fast movements. It's contraction, slowing down, focusing on the muscle group. Train one way this week, a different way next week, keep the muscles answering.

Founding clients

Be my nextsuccess story.

Lalo Fitness is new. Client results are coming soon. I would rather show you real ones than made-up ones, so there are no stock testimonials and no invented numbers anywhere on this site.

What I can offer right now is the thing early clients get and nobody else will: my full attention while the roster is small, and a program built around your day instead of a template. If you come in now, your before photo is the one I'll be pointing at a year from now.

“You go through the ugly stages of life and eventually, towards the end, you will gain those results that you dream about it. Starts with day one.”

Strong enough for them to see

“We start small, and we get bigger.”

It's just like growing up. We all grow up little, and then we get bigger and mature. That's the same way we start in the gym. Here's what that turns into.

01

Weight that stays off

Losing it is the easy half. The structure is built so month six looks like month two, only better.

02

Strength you can feel at home

Carrying, lifting, keeping up. Fit protectors, providers — that's the point of the work.

03

Food you're not fighting

You stop white-knuckling meals and start running a plan you can live inside.

04

Discipline that outlasts motivation

Motivation starts it. Then it disappears, because it becomes discipline and consistency.

How it works

Four steps.No mystery.

  1. I

    Get in touch

Tell me where you're at and what fell apart last time. No pitch, no pressure. Just the honest starting point.

  2. II

    We map the real day

Your schedule, your kids, your shift, your kitchen. We build around the life you have, not the one a template assumes.

  3. III

    Training and food, together

A strength plan that rotates on purpose, and nutrition with enough variety that you'll still be eating it months from now.

  4. IV

    Adjust as the body answers

We read what the first weeks show and change it. Stalls get handled, not panicked over.

The coach

I didn't know what I was doing either.

When I started training, I had to ask for help to get better in my progress. So I want to do the same thing for other people who don't know, or who struggle like I struggled back then. That's what got me my personal training certification and my nutrition coaching.

I'm also a single father. My daughter tells me all the time, you're getting stronger, let me see your muscles, daddy. That's the reason I build plans meant to last twenty years instead of six weeks.

Before you ask

The objectionsI hear most.

I've lost weight before and gained it all back.
Almost everyone who calls me has. That's usually a plan problem, not a you problem. Crash plans strip muscle along with fat, so the moment you eat normally the weight comes back with interest. We train while you lose so you keep the muscle, and we build habits that survive a bad week.
I hate dieting.
Good, because I'm not going to hand you the same meal every single day. It's about enjoying the fruits and switching the foods up. Same food, different versions. I cook, I barbecue, I grill. Your plan is built by somebody who actually likes eating.
I don't have willpower.
Starting is going to be the hardest part, but the discipline evolves over time. Motivation should start with yourself, then it disappears, because it becomes discipline and consistency. We build the structure so you're not relying on feeling motivated at 5am.
I'm a total beginner and I don't know what I'm doing.
When I started training I didn't know what I was doing either, and I had to ask for help to make progress. A lot of people are self conscious, and asking for help is exactly what stops them. That's the reason I got certified in the first place.
I have high blood pressure. Can I still train?
Talk to your doctor first — that call is theirs, not mine. What I can say is that strength training and better nutrition are usually part of the conversation, and I'll build your program around whatever guidance they give you.
How long until I see something?
You'll feel it in a few weeks, see it in a couple of months, and hear about it from other people after that. Results don't happen in one day but they start from day one.
