I didn't know what I was doing either

What inspired me to get into training is that when I started training, I did not know what I was doing. I had to ask for help to get better in my progress. That sounds small. It was not. Asking was the hardest part of the whole thing, and I have never forgotten how long it took me to do it.
So now I want to do the same thing for other people who do not know, or who struggle the way I struggled back then. A lot of people are self conscious, and asking for help is what stops them from making progress. I believe everybody should progress and evolve their bodies as we should. That is why I got my personal training certification, and my nutrition coaching, because I did not know what to eat when I was doing the fat loss journey either.
The pride problem
I want to help men specifically, because as men we have that pride. We do not like to ask for help. That is why some men are stuck in their thirties carrying the weight and accepting it as part of life. I have watched guys my age decide, quietly, that this is just what they look like now. We should not accept that anymore.
We want to be healthier. We want to live long term for our kids. We want to see our kids' kids grow up. As men we should be fit, protectors, providers. That is not a slogan to me, that is the actual reason the alarm goes off.
My daughter keeps score
I am a single father. I want to be the best father I can be for my daughter, to provide, and to show her that her dad is strong. She tells me all the time, you're getting stronger, let me see your muscles, daddy. That is highly motivational for me. It encourages me to keep doing the same thing on the days I do not feel like it.
That is also why I will not sell anybody a crash plan. A crash plan is a thing you survive for six weeks. I am trying to build men who are still strong in twenty years, still around, still the guy their kid brags about. Those are two completely different jobs.
Motivation runs out. That is fine.
My philosophy of training is that starting is going to be the hardest, but the discipline evolves over time. The motivation should start with yourself, and then the motivation disappears, because it becomes discipline and consistency. The results show up in the end.
People hear that and think it is a warning. It is not. It is relief. You do not need to feel fired up every day for the rest of your life. You need to build something that keeps running after the fired up part goes away, which it always does, for everybody.
Why the food part matters to me
I am also a foodie. I love to cook, I have been cooking since I was younger, and you will catch me in the kitchen or on the grill for sure. That is not a fun fact at the bottom of a bio. It is the reason I refuse to hand somebody a joyless meal plan. Nutrition goes a long way, not just working out in the gym, and it only goes that distance if you can actually stand to eat it.
If you have been standing in a gym not knowing what to do, or standing in a kitchen not knowing what to make, that was me. Get in touch and let's start. It starts with day one.
